In the original film Neo is recruited as a 'chosen one' to take on a mission to destroy the machines by finding and retrieving a special blue-chip program called 'The Keymaker'. Meanwhile, Morpheus and Trinity (Neo's girlfriend) search for the elusive 'Oracle' and Neo's sister, who holds the secret to finding The Keymaker. In this film Neo is now a fugitive wanted by the police and has been branded a terrorist by many. With his friends, he does what he can to stay alive and free himself from the machines before Zion is destroyed after all of his efforts. Morpheus was last seen in The Matrix Reloaded, where he had been captured by Agent Smith (the main villain from the first movie) after Neo has got into a car chase with him. In this movie he is being held captive in a construct program under Smith's control and is interrogated by him as Smith tries to find out what Morpheus' real name is by asking him 'What do you want?' to which Morpheus replies 'I want many things'. After getting no answers, Smith leaves the construct and allows Agent Jones (who was also with Smith) to try. Neo and Trinity pursue The Keymaker and find themselves in a dark subway station where the Keymaker tells them that he will escape through a door nearby after Neo frees his mind of fear. Meanwhile, Agent Smith has managed to track them down and has found the door located in the subway station. After Smith finds the door, he finds out that there are no keys inside the door and that the only way to open it up is to insert a special key into an electronic slot. He then finds a telephone inside the subway station and dials it. Neo, Trinity and The Keymaker narrowly escape Agent Smith as he tries to find them. The Matrix Revolutions is the third and final film of this trilogy and picks up directly after The Matrix Reloaded and has no introduction as such.
